My Story

Welcome! I created Life Ready Rookies for three reasons: 1) To be a part of the “village” that raises capable and successful citizens, 2) To do what I love by serving young people, and most importantly, 3) To teach youth content that they’ll actually use in life.

Professionally, I am an alumna of New York University with a B.S. in Communications. I’ve had a fulfilling 16-year career in Education with credentials in Special Education, English and Science. I’ve also had years of experience working in day care, group homes, and residential mental health and developmental facilities.

As a mother of teenagers, I understand firsthand how exhausting the “job” that is parenting can be. Raising children certainly isn’t easy, but I have three of the best kiddos a parent could wish for. When I’m not cooking, cleaning, or transporting, I enjoy traveling, attending cultural events and museums, eating, and watching comedies.
